This is an in-situ creation conceived as an immersive and intimate experience, unfolding in resonance with the environment where it takes root. Our Forest carries a hybrid narrative built from testimonies collected by sound artist Félix Blume in the Brazilian Amazon, to be watched and experienced through headphones. This performance-installation summons the figure of La Curupira and, through this evocation, questions the place of myth in our contemporary world, our collective imagination, and our relationship with nature.
Our Forest affirms a popular belief—still alive or long forgotten—exists as a present fiction, and above all, is a visceral and physical commitment against the violent threat of extraction. Through the adaptation of its visual language to chosen spaces, the aim is to graphically inhabit our cities and allow our living environments to resonate with the essential and primal space that is the forest.
Let us sit at the foot of the tree, listen, and become forest.
